Honoring America’s Best

Loma is proud to produce the annual tribute video for the Midway American Patriot Award honoring individuals who epitomize the USS Midway Museum’s vision as America’s Living Symbol of Freedom.

This year, the USS Midway celebrated four very special men, representing the 179 Naval Aviator Vietnam prisoners of war who fought bravely, and endured captivity, in defense of their nation. Their amazing first-person stories are riveting, and remarkable.

The video premiered at the Museum’s annual fundraiser Gala, with proceeds benefitting the “No Child Left Ashore” Scholarship Fund, an innovative K-8 educational program. Each year, America’s most visited military museum welcomes more than 50,000 kids aboard ship to participate in Midway University’s hands-on science, technology, engineering and math courses (STEM).

A companion podcast, “U.S.S. Midway: Stories from the Flight Deck,” serves as the debut episode of a series celebrating the legacy of the nation’s most visited warship museum.

“I’m a product of Naval aviation, and now I’m a part of Naval aviation history. I’m proudest that when push came to shove, and the chips were down, I could apply it and come through and return with honor just like everybody else.”
