A Soldier's Journey

This is the story behind the iconic centerpiece sculpture of America’s new National World War I Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Told in the words of sculptor Sabin Howard and those whose stories frame both the war and this ‘wall of remembrance,’ the film explores the themes of the conflict as immortalized in a work that the Smithsonian says “may become the greatest memorial bronze of the modern age.”
