LOMA is helping make Peace Corps Park a reality on the National Mall.

A distinctive commemorative work in Washington, D.C. will soon honor the selfless mission and foundational ideals of America’s Peace Corps—voluntary humanitarian service, compassion for those less fortunate and a national commitment to helping eliminate poverty and disease.

Located near the U.S. Capitol, the Park is being erected by the Peace Corps Commemorative Foundation as a national tribute to the many thousands who have served and will serve in the Peace Corps.

Emmy Award winning broadcaster Maria Shriver, daughter of Peace Corps visionary Sargent Shriver, hosts a LOMA-produced video that the positions the ambitious effort. Her very personal, passionate perspective underscores the life-changing achievements of generations of dedicated Peace Corps volunteers who have served in more than 140 nations.

“Our team has been honored to support fundraising and public outreach for many outstanding commemorative projects,” says LOMA principal John DeBello. “These include the nation’s new National World War I Memorial and Freedom Park, soon to be the largest veteran’s park on the West Coast. We’re proud to amplify the inspiring narrative of global citizenship embodied in Peace Corps Park.”
