HONORING AMERICA’S BEST
The Brief
For more than a decade, Loma has served as media partner to one of America’s most visited museums. Our award-winning work includes strategic support for ambitious branding, marketing, education and fundraising goals.
The Client
USS Midway Museum and Foundation
The Challenge
“America’s Living Symbol of Freedom” is much more than the nation’s most visited naval ship museum. It also has an education mission that goes far beyond the flight deck to school programs in 20 states. As the longest serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century, USS Midway and its 700 volunteer docents are living history, with riveting stories that resonate across the decades.
It’s our job to tell those stories so that every generation can “Live the adventure & honor the legend.”
The Approach
‘Real and authentic’ are watchwords that underscore Midway’s unique journey from the world’s largest warship to an amazing visitor experience, education center and respected Foundation.
To support these many missions, we have focused on first-person stories that are both riveting and remarkable. Told across many platforms, our work includes an award-winning webisode series (‘United Stories of America’) sponsored by World of Warships, online video profiles of celebrated personalities and events, podcasts and multimedia campaigns to propel major fundraising initiatives.
Measurable Results
During our relationship, more than $3 million in scholarships have been distributed to deserving students in diverse communities, while museum membership has more than tripled.

The Takeaway
History doesn’t precede the future–it drives it.
Every day, the USS Midway Museum lives its legacy, educating the public and inspiring future generations. Our next step together is the realization of Freedom Park at Navy Pier, an ambitious vision to create an iconic community park that will honor veterans, extend the legend and celebrate liberty. Full speed ahead!
