Commemoration and Remembrance

The American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) has an amazing story. We are proud to help tell it.

As the guardian of America's overseas commemorative cemeteries and memorials, the ABMC honors the service, achievements and sacrifice of U.S. Armed Forces. In anticipation of its 2023 Centennial, the Commission has chosen Loma to help amplify national awareness of its storied mission and global accomplishments.

Our work begins with a website redesign and continues with the production and dissemination of comprehensive cross-platform media tactics in support of what promises to be the largest event in the Commission’s history.  “As ABMC approaches 100 years of service to the nation, Loma is honored to help raise awareness of its magnificent legacy and inspired vision for the future,” says Loma’s project lead Amy Gomoll.

Established by Congress in 1923, ABMC administers, operates, and maintains 26 permanent American burial grounds and 30 separate memorials, monuments and markers around the globe. This event is a major opportunity for ABMC to introduce, sustain and elevate interest among U.S. audiences and America’s host-nation neighbors.

“We were introduced to ABMC through our work on behalf of the nation’s new national World War I Memorial,” says Loma principal John DeBello. “It was an eye-opening experience, and our entire team is enthused about the opportunity to share its compelling story with the world.”
