Food Security When and Where It Matters Most

At a time of unprecedented need, one of America’s most successful Food Banks is answering the call. We’re spreading the word.

Every month, hundreds of volunteers supported by a network of more than 500 non-profit partners help the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank distribute millions of pounds of food to thousands of people facing food insecurity

This year, the devastating Coronavirus has turned ongoing need into an overwhelming crisis. To meet a sudden surge in demand, President & CEO Jim Floros made a personal appeal for public support in a series of Loma PSAs that have helped generate remarkable results.

The record-breaking response by people across the region has been both timely and effective—even lifesaving. For every one dollar in donations, the Food Bank can provide five meals to families in need.

The battle is far from over, but those on the front lines are deeply appreciative of the entire community’s commitment to their neighbors.
