P(l)ay It Forward
Rincon’s Indian Gaming success is powering broad-based community support across an entire region.
As the first tribe in California to have gaming, the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians pioneered many business practices that have turned promise into prosperity for both native peoples and neighbors.
“We’ve been given a chance, and now we’re paying back” says Tribal Chairman Bo Mazzetti. That message is underscored in a new Loma public awareness campaign designed to create wider awareness of a small tribe making big contributions to many organizations that provide vital services for the greater good.
The ‘digital first’ campaign is driven by a series of succinct videos featuring a wide range of donation recipients. Many missions, with one key connecting thread–in each case, Rincon’s generosity has made a critical difference to those in need. Recent recipients include The Burn Institute, Canine Companions and Final Honor.
Accompanying long-form videos introduce the Tribe’s community-focused vision to a variety of audiences that include government agencies, potential partner organizations and the general public.
“When Rincon wins, everybody wins. We take care of each other.”
–Tishmall Turner, Vice Chair, Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians
