Stolen Voices Need Your Voice

A grassroots effort is confronting a long-term crisis.

Loma has launched a regional awareness and education campaign in support of MMIP San Diego, a Tribal coalition formed to combat human trafficking and violence in Native American communities.

All across the United States, Indigenous people go missing or are murdered at alarming rates that far exceed the national average. Many of these cases remain unsolved; many more go unreported.

Loma is producing this campaign on behalf of four Kumeyaay tribes in association with the San Diego Harbor Police Foundation. The tribes are Jamul Indian Village of California, Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians and Manzanita Band of the Kumeyaay Nation.

With support from the California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC), MMIP San Diego coordinates Tribal efforts to strengthen at-risk communities, protect against human trafficking and increase cooperation with law enforcement agencies.

The initiative features a Loma-design Digital Resource Center (MMIPSD.org) that will provide a critical “hub” of information and resources. Our cross-platform public outreach is augmented by a series of integrated Tribal cultural initiatives that include innovative AR/VR educational training.

All of us at Loma are proud to support this landmark effort to confront the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People.
