Loma’s landmark production of the First Colors Ceremony introducing America’s new National World War I Memorial “sets a new bar.”
Featuring a powerful filmed program seamlessly integrated with live segments, the flawlessly executed ‘hybrid’ event shared powerful interviews, historical video segments and evocative musical vignettes to engage diverse audiences through a global livestream broadcast across multiple platforms.
The event concluded ‘live’ with the official first flag raising followed by a spectacular fly-over by the U.S. Air Force’s “Hat in the Ring” Squadron and an emotionally resonant wreath-laying ceremony.
Hosted by Gary Sinise and featuring remarks from President Biden, the ceremony’s national scope was amplified by guest appearances of notable participants from locations across the country complemented by an entertainment program featuring a distinctive array of performers.
Participants included General Mark A. Milley, 20th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; The Honorable Deb Haaland, 54th Secretary of the Interior; The Honorable Mitch McConnell, Minority Leader, US Senate; The Honorable Leon Panetta, 23rd Secretary of Defense; and The Honorable Carol Moseley Braun, Former US Senator & Ambassador.
Of special note, First Colors was the first major event held in the nation’s capital since the pandemic began, successfully implementing all safety protocols while defining best practices for future events.
